Teaching and walking through hard stuff and joyful things with our students is something that we take great pride in. While we are away, we hope that you will make choices to be well.
We encourage our students to keep the routines they have set up for themselves over the past few weeks. Set an alarm, welcome the new day and set some small goals for each day. ☀️ This is a great time to move your body, enjoy the warm fall days outside or try a new hobby. We have seen that they are capable of limiting their screen time at school and we are hopeful they will be mindful of it at home too. Alarms or screen time limits can help to keep them from losing themselves to social media. Do some art. Try a new recipe. Create something. Call a grandparent or a younger cousin. This could also be a great opportunity to connect in-person with family, friends or others that might be needing connection too. 💥
