You may receive a call from Alberta Education & Childcare.
From January to May 2026, Alberta Education and Childcare will be conducting its annual telephone and online satisfaction surveys to gather feedback on perceptions of Alberta’s education system.
This survey is administered by Advanis Inc. on behalf of the ministry and is separate from both the upcoming Alberta Assurance Survey and the Pembina Hills School Division Satisfaction Survey.
A random sample of participants across the province may be contacted, including parents, members of the public, senior high school students, teachers, principals, school board trustees, and employers of recent high school graduates. More than 6,000 surveys will be completed to ensure results are statistically representative across 10 respondent groups.
Participants will be informed at the start of the call or online contact that the survey is being conducted on behalf of Alberta Education and Childcare. Survey responses are completely confidential, and no individual responses are reported. Surveys are also available in French for select respondent groups.
The survey helps the ministry understand satisfaction related to:
The overall quality of Alberta’s education system
How well the system meets student needs and supports society and the economy
Safe, caring, and inclusive school environments
Student preparation for lifelong learning, employment, and citizenship
Collaboration with education partners
Leadership and continuous improvement
Preparation of recent high school graduates
School facilities and equipment
Participation is important, as results help identify strengths and areas for improvement across the provincial education system. Some findings also inform ministry performance measures and will be included in Alberta Education and Childcare’s 2025–26 Annual Report.

As Semester 1 comes to a close on Tuesday, January 27/26, we need our students to know the following important information:
- For courses that students want completed within Semester 1, all assignments and exams must be completed by January 21 in order to allow time for marking. Courses that are not completed by this date will simply roll over into Semester 2.
- On January 22 we will be holding a resume writing workshop and career exploration, and on January 23rd our students will be exploring Indigenous storytelling and beading. January 26 students can obtain 10 credits by completing a number of digital literacy outcomes.
- There will be no school on Wednesday, January 28 and Semester 2 will start on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
If you are unsure if your student has a final exam to write, or if you have questions as to their progress in their courses, please feel free to reach out to the teacher. We look forward to offering these unique opportunities and encourage our students to join us for them.
